Noxious Weed Cost-Share Program

Noxious Weed Eradication - 50:50 Cost-Share

The Districts have received grant funding that will help support property owners' eradication efforts.  Owners must submit a paid invoice of purchased treatments. 

  • Funding is available for spot treatment control of Colorado species list A and B and is based on a 50:50 cost match.
  • Funding is limited to $300. Not all chemicals are are enrolled in the cost-share program.
  • Program is offered April 15 through August 30, 2025
  • A Weed Management Plan of the property that wishes to utilize the cost share program needs to be in place to receive the cost share.
  • Control must be done by October 1, 2025.
  • Landowners purchase chemicals through the County and bring the invoice to the District office.
  • County Weed & Pest office hours: Thursday mornings from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in Meeker and delivering pre-orders to Rangely on Thursday afternoons
  • Applicants submit a paid invoice to the District office to be eligible for reimbursement.
  • Refer to Colorado's Weed List A and B for eligible weeds in this program.
  • Before and after pictures are requested. 

Properties must be:

  • Within Rio Blanco County
  • Within the White River and/or Douglas Creek Conservation District boundary
  • Privately owned
